Hi. I’m Geebee!

Woman in a black beanie and dark jacket in a cozy kitchen, smiling and holding a phone, with food and kitchenware on the counter.

I love making delicious food for people.

I finally decided to hang up my corporate attire for an apron. Nothing makes me happier than seeing people smile when they take that first bite of my lasagne or smell my latest batch of cookies in the oven. My mission with Geebee’s Kitchen is to make you smile with every bite.

The Sunday Gravy tradition

Sometime between docking at Ellis Island and sitting down at Nana’s Formica table for spaghetti and meatballs, Sunday Gravy became a Jersey Italian tradition.

My daughters’ great grandmother learned how to make Sunday Gravy from her mother who immigrated to New Jersey from Campania, Italy in the late 1890s. She taught me in the 1980s, and I’ve been making it ever since.

Pot of homemade tomato sauce with visible chunks of tomatoes and herbs, simmering on a stovetop.

Funny name you got there…

A young child with curly blonde hair wearing a striped jacket with arms outstretched standing in a house with wooden floors and white cabinets.

My daughters nicknamed me Great White years ago. I wanted my grandkids to call me GW, but my grandson had a different idea. He started calling me Geebee as soon as he could talk and it stuck!
